Why we started
Milky Change
-
We love life, music, our planet, and our families
- As touring musicians and parents, we are acutely aware of the visible consequences of the climate crisis – and of our responsibility.
We keep asking ourselves: How can we better protect what we love? How can we do what we love more responsibly? How do we shape touring, production, and our everyday lives as musicians in a future-proof way?
- As touring musicians and parents, we are acutely aware of the visible consequences of the climate crisis – and of our responsibility.
-
That’s why we launched Milky Change in 2019
- Milky Change is our own sustainability initiative.
It helps us to act more consciously and take responsibility. For us, sustainability means more than just climate protection – it is also about community, fairness, and justice. Sustainability is not about being perfect. It’s about taking first steps and getting better along the way.
To us, sustainability is not a trend – it’s a mindset.
- Milky Change is our own sustainability initiative.
-
Less talk, more rock – real change comes from action
- And we can only do this together with you.
On this page we will take you along for the ride.
We will share what is working – and what is not working (yet). We believe that change works best when you make it happen in a transparent and collective way.
- And we can only do this together with you.
Our Principles
We follow these three core principles:
-
"Synchronize" -
with what matters- We want to tour in harmony with the planet. That means: we avoid emissions wherever possible. We offset emissions only if we cannot avoid them.
-
"Down by the River" -
regional & fair- From merch to tour catering – we work with local partners whenever we can. We emphasize fair trade, production and transparent sourcing.
-
"Making a Change" -
with hands-on action- We want more than just to avoid emissions – we want to drive real change. Through community efforts, engagement, and a clear stance, we use our handprint to make a positive impact on people and the planet: Open, honest, and together.
